To my dearest daughter. I stood by your bed last night; I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying and you found it hard to sleep.

I spoke to you softly as you brushed away a tear. “It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine. I will always stand by your side. I’m here.”

I was with you while you done your chores. I was with you today as you cried in pain. I want to reassure you that I’m here.

I walk by your side.

You looked so very tired. Please, my love, relax, and know I am OK.

The day is over. I smile and watch you yawning, and whisper, “I love you,”
and say, “Good-night…”

I kiss your forehead, and say, “I’ll see you in the morning during dawn’s early light.”

And when the time is right for you to cross the great divide, don’t worry. When my time has come, I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand together, side by side.

With tears in his eyes, and taking his last breath, Daddy says, “Be patient, live your journey out… then come home to me, our souls joyfully embracing in unity.”
